Right before the new year Mike and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. I was excited because he was going to be home this year so we decided to do dinner, Japanese food like normal but it's our favorite. Except to make it different than normal we took a ferry over to Seattle. We love Benihana and found that the nearest one is in Seattle. I figured I could get in a ferry ride to make it more exciting. Well come that night getting to the ferry was interesting. We ended up getting a little turned around in where to park and pretty much made it to the ferry with no time to spare. The ride over was nice and the scenery was pretty. Once we got closer to Seattle I made Mike come outside with me so I could take pictures.
Here's our awesome picture out on the ferry :) 4 years down and I still get butterflies in the stomach with him. He's such a great person. Dinner that night was very nice too. It was neat walking around Seattle.
Now we're enjoying him being home this year. We've been working out together and our new thing is playing racquetball. I am by no means good, I try though and it's a lot of fun. We go at least a few times a week and play for 45 minutes. We even bought our own equipment last night so we don't have to borrow the gym's stuff anymore. So far I've managed to hit myself in the head twice with the ball, hit him with the ball, hit myself with the racquet and a few other funny moments. I'm extremely talented lol.
My job at Navy Federal is going great. I really like everyone I work with. They're such nice people. Even better is I was told yesterday that sometime next month I'll be moving to train on the other side, dealing with loans, membership applications..things like that (more so things that you sit down with someone about rather than see a teller for). I'm excited to learn more. With learning more comes other things like I now have goals for the month. Right now they're small because I don't really know the ins and outs of the other side but once I do I'm sure my goal numbers will raise. I'm really hoping to be able to transfer with this job. We're even thinking of staying on this side of the water when the ship moves to Everett. We would just move further up north around Poulsbo. I'm sure we'll start talking about that more this summer since our lease is up around October and we would move then. Until then we've only mentioned the idea and want a little break from anything moving since we've only lived here for a few months.
Lastly I'm super excited to see Photina and the girls this upcoming week. I told her I had this dream that we ran and hugged each other when seeing each other again for the first time. Mike laughed at me and said I'm silly. However I know Photina is right and it's probably going to happen that way especially with the girls. I look forward to it a lot.
